PictureAustralia is a service hosted by the National Library of Australia to provide a single access point to the digitised pictorial collections of a range of cultural institutions including the Australian War Memorial, the State Library of New South Wales, the State Library of Tasmania and the State Library of Victoria. The PictureAustralia service has been provided for use by all Australians, to discover our heritage as documented in pictures. Through a single access point, it is possible to search the distributed image collections of many significant cultural institutions, without having to know where the images are held.
